Description: ECS have been prominent in the Marine Industry for many years and have developed a range of calorifiers to the highest standard. These calorifiers provide the complete domestic hot water systems for on board use whatever the size of craft. They are easily installed with a average heat up time of approx. 20 minutes (a small engine may take longer). The units are fitted with an internal coil or coils which, when connected to the engine jacket water, transfer heat into the calorifier. This heat would otherwise be wasted and therefore makes for hot water system that is both very reliable and economical. Water remains hot whilst the engine is not running to ensure an ample supply.

A calorifier uses the engine heated water to obtain a domestic hot water system on almost any vessel with a water cooled engine. This engine-heated water is passed by way of the top fitting of the primary coil, through the heat exchanger in the Calorifier and returning through the lower fitting to the exhaust mixing chamber. The fresh water is heated and flows to all the hot water taps and shower fittings on the vessel. Dependent, of course, upon the rate at which hot water is drawn off, these Calorifiers will remain hot up to 24 hours after the engine has been switched off. These calorifiers are supplied complete with 1kw immersion, mixer valve, pressure release valve, stainless steel saddle and coil fittings and snap on spigots ready for plastic plumbing. These new calorifiers are manufactured to the highest standards with copper insulated cylinder and a highly polished stainless steel outer casing.
